This weekend, check out the Richmond Home and Garden Show. It is taking place March 5th through 7th at the Richmond Raceway Complex. It is Richmond's largest home and garden show and features exhibits on landscaping, decorating, remodeling and building. You can also meet Matt Paxton from A&E's show "Hoarders" and enter to win the "Trashiest Garage Contest." If you win, Matt Paxton and his team will come clean up your gargage, and you'll be provided with free shelving and cabinetry from The Closet Factory.

Progressive Teams Up with Oprah! |

Progressive is teaming up with the Oprah Winfrey Show to support the No Phone Zone campaign. The campaign is designed to promote awareness and educate drivers on the dangers of cell phone use while driving.
According to the US Department of Transportation, nearly 500,000 people are injured and 6,000 are killed each year as a result of driving while talking, texting, or e-mailing. Progressive feels so strongly about this issue that they do not allow their employees to use any electronic equipment while driving on behalf of Progressive.
You are encouraged to visit www.oprah.com/nophonezone to sign a pledge not to use cell phones while driving.

A customer from Midlothian, Virginia came in to our office on a Saturday after being at the DMV on Johnston Willis Drive all morning. She was upset because she had a cancel pending on her auto insurance and had to make a payment that same day. However, she had just paid an unexpected $85 at DMV to have her license reinstated. DMV told her that she had lapse in coverage, and her license had been suspended. The customer wasn't even aware that her license had been suspended, and after paying the $85 fee at DMV, she could no longer afford to make the entire payment due on her car insurance. I passed the information along to one of our agents, James, who did a rewrite quote for the customer. ...

Progressive Insurance has a new app ready for download for your iPhone! With the new app, you can access your policy information, report a claim, and even make a payment! The app can also be used to find a local agent, such as us! It will even use the iPhone's navigation to bring you directly to our front door at 11629 Midlothian Turnpike!
Beyond policy information, you can also use the Progressive iPhone app for informational purposes. For example, use the app to assist you when buying a new car. You can view crash test results, recall notices, and the average cost to insure whatever vehicle you choose.
