A customer from Midlothian, Virginia came in to our office on a Saturday after being at the DMV on Johnston Willis Drive all morning. She was upset because she had a cancel pending on her auto insurance and had to make a payment that same day. However, she had just paid an unexpected $85 at DMV to have her license reinstated. DMV told her that she had lapse in coverage, and her license had been suspended. The customer wasn't even aware that her license had been suspended, and after paying the $85 fee at DMV, she could no longer afford to make the entire payment due on her car insurance. Progressive Insurance has a new app ready for download for your iPhone! With the new app, you can access your policy information, report a claim, and even make a payment! The app can also be used to find a local agent, such as us! It will even use the iPhone's navigation to bring you directly to our front door at 11629 Midlothian Turnpike!
Beyond policy information, you can also use the Progressive iPhone app for informational purposes. For example, use the app to assist you when buying a new car. You can view crash test results, recall notices, and the average cost to insure whatever vehicle you choose.

Car accidents can wreak havoc on an otherwise peaceful day. Even if they’re minor, they can often create confusion. You might ask yourself, how should I react? What should I do?
Leading car insurer Progressive offers these simple steps to follow after an accident:
- Stay calm. Keeping a calm demeanor helps you stay in control of the situation.
- Make sure you and your passengers are OK. Move as far off the roadway as possible but stay at the scene of the accident. Warn oncoming traffic by activating your hazard warning lights and/or setting flares if you have them.
- Call the police. Call 911 or the appropriate emergency number to report the accident.

A few days ago, a man was shopping for auto insurance in Midlothian, VA (23112) and called us for a quote. He was unhappy with his current agent who had him with GMAC Insurance Company, a company that we represent as well. The customer's policy had gone up at his renewal, and his agent told him there was nothing that he could do. Our agent, James, ran the customer through over 20 different companies and was able to place him with Grange Insurance Company at a savings of $400 PER MONTH!
